Looking across the borough line

A referral does not always stay within the Bronx. Some people work in Queens and some have family there. Three Queens sleep centers are below. Open a center for its map and services, then call to ask about referrals and insurance.

The bridge between boroughs

The Throgs Neck Bridge opened in 1961 and links the Bronx and Queens, spanning the point where the East River meets Long Island Sound. On the Bronx side it lands in Throgs Neck, which is why the Throgs Neck page covers it. The MTA says it feeds the Cross Bronx and Bruckner expressways, the Hutchinson River Parkway and the New England Thruway.

Planning an overnight appointment across the line

An overnight study ends in the morning, so the way home matters as much as the way there. Settle the arrival time, the preparation steps and the trip back before the night. NHLBI says tests at a sleep center usually last overnight, and the choosing guide adds the insurance, Medicaid and licence questions to confirm. If your doctor orders a home test, the home and lab guide explains that the device comes to you.
